Tori!! I'm so glad you are getting back into better sleeping habits. I continue to pray and fast for you girl! Your parents have so much faith and they are still fighting with you. Keep it up!

I had the opportunity of finally meeting Tori today. I went by the hospital to get some of the bracelets to help sell them and I was able to see Tori for a few minutes. I could tell by looking at Tori that she is a very intelligent young lady. I just felt like she had so much to say but couldn't do it. I had never met Tori but have known her mom since I was in 6th grade. I was only there a short time but I could feel the strength and will power of this young girl. I look forward to the day when I can hear her pretty voice. I am sure that her family is anxiously awaiting that day as well. Tori you are such a strong girl and you are so pretty and intelligent like both of your parents. Sorry Tim, I guess I should say you are handsome not pretty. Anyway, you get the point. I know that with as many people out there praying for Tori I just have faith that good things are going to happen in her future. You are a wonderful family. Stay strong.

So, in preparation for our long time away from Tori, I chose to spend the weekend with her as much as I could (provided I have a mountain of work to move).

Friday night we had dinner with Tim and Maria by Tori's room but I was still too bothered by work to enjoy my time by her side.

Saturday however was a far greater day. Tori was exhausted because she stayed up all night. Agitated and uneasy, it took a lot to try and make her comfortable. Tim and Maria tried to take naps while Tori and I would stare at each other. I didn't talk much more than she did (and since she can't speak, that says a lot...). The objective was to bore her to sleep and it worked for a little bit.

That's the worst part of Saturday: the only hour she took a nap is when Michelle and Kourtney came to visit her. The hardest part, Maria told me that she stood outside talking to them for about 15 minutes after stepping out of her room. Tori probably had awoken before they had left the hospital.

Ben Goodman surprised Tim and Maria by visiting the hospital around lunch time. We went and had lunch together while Maria went for a run.

On Sunday, she looked good, got quite a few visitors like Tim mentions in his update.

The greatest moment on Sunday for me was when Paul, Tim's dad came to visit Tori over her bed. He started talking in the nicest possible way. She was just staring at him. You could tell they were truly communicating. She did not take her grand father our of her sight the whole time he was bent over her bed.

Simple things like that nourish hope and hope is that we need for Tori.

Come to visit her. Be patient, give her a chance to adapt to what you are doing or saying to her. Sometimes, her response time can be way long and you have to respect that.

She would love to see your faces and hear your voices, it is part of the rehabilitation process.
