Friday, July 15th - Day 26 (early morning update)

Well, I fore warned everyone in yesterdays update that Tori was beginning to try and use her new found arm and hand strength and coordination. Maria just called me and last night she successfully ripped her respirator and part of her Trach from her mouth twice and had the nurses scrambling each time... Maria also said Tori would not go to sleep during the night and that her heart rate did drop dramatically again at a couple of points. She is speaking with the doctors right now and I am heading up to the hospital. I will post any additional information when I can.

Thanks,
-Tim

Love from Minnesota....

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the updates. It is wonderful getting the news 'first hand'. It is great to read about Tori's progress and the stories from her family and absolutely amazing friends. And congratulations to the dance team! As a mother of a dancer, I know how hard you work and how much you must love it. It is evident with the support Tori has she is loved beyond what we can comprehend, which I am sure is contributing to her progress. As Tim put, keep praying, keep the hope and keep the faith.
Lots of Love,
Jennifer
P.S. Hey computer wizards...video of the dance concrete angel we hear about? I know the Schmanski's can't be told something can't be done...

My prayers are with you all

I was directed to your site thru the DanceArt message boards & have been reading faithfully since. It is wonderful to see so much love for a fellow dancer. Although I've never met any of you I can tell that you all love to dance & love your fellow dancers. The thought of the girls dancing to Concrete Angel without Tori brings tears to my eyes. I have 5 daughters (2 that used to dance, 2 that still dance, and one that is yet to dance as she is only 2). Please know that there are many dancers & their families pulling for Tori. Be strong!! You are all wonderful people - I can tell that simply from reading this website. Denise Bailey Xenia, Ohio (Red Shoes Dance Team Mom)
