Friday, Saturday and Sunday - November 17th, 18th and 19th

Good evening,

Tori had another calm and relaxing weekend and was still seizure free. She slept and rested very well and was rarely agitated over the past three days. In fact, she went without xanax or zanaflex at all during a couple of those days.

Tinkers continues to work the Disco Ball switch and Tori does just as well :-) She also watched numerous movies as usual, snacked when she could and hung out in her wheelchair with her family. She had her extra long, weekend shampooing and sponge bath as well. Tori still seems to be improving with her arm control though it still wasn't as good as this past Thursday was. Some days are definitely better than others as we know all to well.

The BIG accomplishment of the weekend was finalizing Tori's new and upcoming treatment. Tori will be going to Hangzhou, China on January 11 for stem cell treatment. She will receive 50 million stem cells during her month long stay and will return home on February 12. She will also be receiving daily physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as acupuncture. Maria and I will be travelling with Tori and are we nervous about the 30 plus hour trip to Hangzhou?!? You better believe it!! That is a challenging trip for a healthy person let alone a person in Tori's condition... We are now very involved in planning all of the logistical steps and aspects needed for the trip. Passports, visas, the shipping of various items, transportation, accommodations, etc.. The list is daunting but we will do whatever it takes to make this trip happen. We want the MIRACLE!! We want our beloved Tori back!! I'll be providing much more information as we lead up to this trip and we'll be learning alot during Michael's trip to Hangzhou which begins in about a week.

This trip is made possible by ALL OF YOU!! Your support and donations are making this trip possible and we are extremely grateful. Words cannot express how thankful we are for all of the kindness and generosity exhibited for Tori and our family. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!!

Sincerely,

The Schmanski Family

Amazing news

Wow! I can't believe the news about going to China! That is amazing! I'm excited for you all to do this. I hope it brings wonderful results. It's just so hard to believe that Tori is going to China! Yippi!
Can't wait to hear more...
Love,
Mare

China

Every time I think how rough the trip is going to be to China, I stop and think about how rough life has been since Michael drowned; the trip pales in comparison. We will pave the way for you and pass along everything that we learn to make your trip go smoothly. You are not alone in this, Tim. We will get our miracles.

Take Care,

Dave

Good news!

Hi Tim Maria, Whitney & Brendan! Janine called me this morning to ask if I had read this site. This is such good news and the only thing better is-that it be successful! What a gift that can be for Tori and everyone, that cares so much about her. Just the fact that you are trying everything possible for Tori tells how much you love her. Best of luck and our love & prayers go with you. A Happy Thanksgiving (in more ways than one) to all of you. Shirley
