Jill and Donny's blog

Thank you, Tori's Friends.

I am deeply grateful to all of you hard working girls for doing this for Tori. And look at Brendan - workin' just as hard as anyone! I just finished the wonderful car wash photos (Guy, if you are responsible thank you so much -- I felt like I was there with them!) You are doing so much for our family, I don't know how to thank you enough. Tori is going to be OK. My daily prayers ask that she have peaceful and restful days and nights, as well as Tim and Maria. Good night to all and God bless. All our love, Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny

Best wishes for a peaceful day

Thinking of you. Hope that this day will be a peaceful one for all of you. How thoughtful you are to mention Brady, Tori's roommate. Even though you are enduring so much emotional trama, you are still thoughtful enough to think of others and their personal pain. We all need to do that for others! Another good lesson you have taught me. Good luck with the car wash. Wish I could be there. Hope to see some photos. Love, Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny.

Thinking of you from Auntie Jill

Thinking of you today, as always. It was a tough day for you. Barbara the nurse sounds like a wonderful person. How proud you must be of Tori for the strenght she is showing people. Tomorrow will be better. It's the right thing to do to keep Tori where she is a bit longer - She's quite the girl isn't she! I so much admire your courage, and your kindness to the others at PICU. Take care of yourselves. Please give Tori, and yourselves, a hug for us. Rest peacefully tonight. All our love, Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny

The Waldens

A long time ago in TV land there was a sitcom called the Waldens on Golden Pond. Some of us old folks might remember. The Waldens (hope I am spelling the name correctly) had a nightly ritual -- all of the family members would say good-night to each other, one by one. It dispelled all of the days trials and tribulations and embedded in their memories all of the happy thoughts and times. Having said this, I say good-night to my Schmanski Family in Utah. Good-night TORI, Tim, Maria, Whitney, Brendan, Paul, Sandy and all of Tori's wonderful and giving friends. Good night and rest well. All our love, Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny. Tori is going to be OK.

Good Morning from Minnesota, Auntie Jill

I feel like I am living in the Arizona desert. It has been above 90 degrees F for 9 days in a row. Enough of my whining. Thank you for your updates. Morning, mid-day and evening reports may take a bit of your time but I think it is efficient and gives all of us so far away enough information. Guy can fill in details if needed. THANK YOU! Tori needs time to get a regular routine in place - which may make things difficult for all of you for a while but she is doing her best. Keep the faith, baby! (That's a 60's phrase but you probably don't remember that). And always, if there is anything we can do for you, just ask. All our love, Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny -- Love to Grandpa and Grandma Schmanski, Whitney and Brendan.

Tori's greatest gift ...

Tori's greatest gift to all of us is her strength. The move will come when the time is right. Thanks for the update. As always, we so much appreciate the time everyone takes to place messages for those of us so far away to read and ponder. Tim and Maria - take care! Love to Grandma and Grandpa Schmanski - they are a god-send. All our love Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny

Good Days & Bad Days

We all know we have them -- I just think it isn't fair that Tori and her family have to have any more of them. However, Tim and Guy have taken a liking to the medical terminology and the thought had occurred to me several days ago that this could be the start of some kind of medical team! You have learned so much through your tribulations. I wish you the best and so much admire your strength and tenacity. All of you -- Tim, Maria, Guy but most of all TORI. Thank you so much for your updates on this website. It certainly does give us comfort, even hearing of the bad days. We need to know that as well because Tim is SO positive in all of this and has helped us in more ways than he will every know. Sorry I have missed a few days. Next posting will be shorter -- I promise. Love and hugs to all of you. Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny

Good Morning from Minnesota

And your journey continues! Even more wonderful news from you. I'm watching for entries from the "site enhancers". It's beautiful. When Tori reads this she will love it. I'm thrilled and over-joyed that you have found a facility that is close to home / work, one that YOU like and that is affiliated with hospitals. It is a very good choice. Take it easy and I am looking to see if I can find a website for that pastry shop! All our love, Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny. P.S. Please do let us know Tori's new address when she moves - I have promised deluging her with cards and notes and want to keep them coming!

Good Morning from Minnesota

What wonderful news you have shared with us! And thanks to Guy for sharing the NY Time article as well. We are all so proud of the dance team and the dedication to their dance and to Tori. We missed Good Morning America so I am not sure the team was able to get a "spot". Hopefully they did. Tim and Maria -- be sure to take good care of yourselves. Thanks again for sharing with us. All our Love, Auntie Jill and Uncle Donny

Good Morning from Minnesota

Hi Maria and Tim. Thank you so much for the updates. I know this takes precious moments away from you hectic schedule, but we sure do appreciate it! I realized that I did not know my great niece very well. All of the stories and pictures have made me feel closer to her and to you and I hope all of you can feel that. We are so proud to be Aunt and Uncle to such strong and courageous people. Thanks, Guy, for taking time to enter updates and keep us informed. Hugs and kisses, prayers and strength! Love ya!
